About BioMetric Massage

Biometrics is a unique healing therapy that access the body’s memory of old movement patterns and re-programs the muscle and brain memories. This process frees past restrictions that developed as compensation patterns from injuries and chronic tensions.

The Body Mechanics
The brain perceives tension due to posture and compensation patterns adopted in order to perform functions that the conscious mind insists we perform. Muscle groups form a ‘committee’ agreeing to terms under which they will operate. On a subconscious level we force actions which the committee has not approved (e.g., working overtime, going without proper nutrition, etc.). We pay a price to pay for ignoring the body’s signals for extended periods! That price shows up as pain and restricted movement.

To alleviate this condition therapists have performed massage, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and other techniques. In most cases symptoms are reduced but the cause isn’t addressed. Experientially, your gain is temporary relief.

Without brain and muscle re-programming of the unconscious ‘committee’, the patterns of tension re-occur. In trauma, the brain acts to protect us by contracting our core and any muscles needed to defend the body from re-injury. This anterior and/or medial contraction memory is activated daily, at the moment the conscious mind awakens. Until the issue is resolved, the muscles will remember the trauma and act to protect us even if we try to force them to do otherwise.

In looking at the cause of the pain, BioMetrics sees the compensation patterns and muscles the BRAIN engages

The process:
Patterns of restriction are revealed through putting pressure on specific points. Gentle, minute movements uncover your body’s restricted areas. Once discovered, muscle holding and tension is very gently and gradually released through slow, continuous movements or pressure. The release of stored compensation memories enables new, less restrictive patterns to register in the brain and muscle fibers.

Sometimes, a full recovery can be accomplished in one session. In some cases it takes more than one treatment to accomplish re-programming. In the majority of instances, lasting relief from pain and a return to normal functioning can be achieved.
